Jessica Barker, PA-C

Jessica is a physician assistant (PA) who joined Dr. Mackenzie´s practice in 2005. A physician assistant is a health care professional licensed to practice medicine under the supervision of a doctor. Jessica received her Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences from the University of California - Santa Barbara. She completed her Masters in Physician Assistant studies at the University of Iowa Medical School. Jessica has been a practicing PA-C in California since 1999. She initially worked in Neurology in San Diego. She was instrumental in developing and implementing a group-model of care for patients with Headache and Dementia. She had an active involvement in research, serving as a co-investigator on multiple projects. The majority of her research focused on the use of BOTOX® in preventing headaches. Her practice with BOTOX® for headache prevention provoked an interest in its cosmetic uses. Jessica also received a board certification in Anti-Aging Medicine in 2006.

Upon relocating to Santa Barbara, she transitioned to working in Cosmetic Dermatology and Plastic Surgery. Jessica´s education and training allow her to provide a broad range of medical and surgical services to Dr. Mackenzie´s practice. These services include administering BOTOX®, Juvederm and Radiesse injections, performing IPL and laser treatments for hair removal, sun spots and spider veins, providing pre and post operative care and assisting Dr. Mackenzie with surgery.



 

Celia Medina - Office Manager

You will likely talk to Celia on the phone before your first visit, and she is one of the first friendly faces that will greet you when you walk in our office.  She will assist you with information and scheduling for the procedure that you choose and can answer most of your questions before and after your consult with Dr. Mackenzie.  She is also the one to help you with any questions you have about financing plastic surgery.
