Case 2: Scar Revision

49 year old female had previous scars on upper abdomen from liver surgery. She had healed well, except for some hypertrophy of the upper vertical portion. The central area of the chest and upper abdomen is notorious for healing with thick hypertrophied scars. I did one scar revision on it and it came back. So then I did another, along with coordinated low dose radiation postoperatively, which worked. This is sometimes necessary for recurrent hypertrophic scars and keloids.
