Laser Skin Care – Santa Barbara

At Pacific Plastic Surgery in Santa Barbara, we offer various laser skin treatments and other skin care treatments to reverse the signs of aging and sun damage.

A common problem that people have that come in is photo damage which is a fancy name for sun damage. That will usually mean excess fine wrinkles of their facial skin, brown pigmentation, perhaps small broken blood vessels, even some premalignant problems. There are various things that we can do in the office to improve the color and the texture of the facial skin. These include intense pulsed light and the way that we would like to do that now is with Levulan so it is a photodynamic therapy. Levulan is a compound we actually paint on the skin, then do the intense pulsed light which is kind of like a laser and it really gives a nice result and it is very safe and there is not a lot of down time and it will really improve the texture and coloration of the skin. Other options include blue peel, which we can do in the office, and some of the skin therapies, skin care regimens that we can give. For certain specific things like broken blood vessels on the face, we can actually laser them and improve that appearance as well.
