Arm Lift Patient 6

Arm Lift (Brachioplasty)

Patient Information

These are before and after photos of a 59 year old woman who lost 40 pounds and was unhappy with excess skin to her upper arms and abdomen. With any significant amount of weight loss, excess skin is bothersome to many patients. There are a variety of procedures available to treat skin laxity to various areas of the body. This patient underwent an arm lift (brachioplasty) and a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty). A tummy tuck is a common procedure for many women after pregnancy to remove excess skin and tighten the abdominal wall. To find out more about tummy tucks, you can read about it here.

The incisions are placed on the underside of the arm, which helps to minimize the appearance of the scars. Scars from an arm lift have a nasty habit of widening, which can be seen when comparing the 1 month to 2 year post-op photos. Proper scar management helps to reduce the appearance of scars. We have a variety of different products that help scars to heal and we will help you choose which one will be right for you in during your post-op appointments.
